Victor the Seagull Takes Flight at Teatime Hub!

We were thrilled to welcome Blackpool Literacy Trust to Teatime Hub recently for a very special storytelling session! 📖✨

With the help of Libby Gomm a local hobby photographer with a pet seagull Victor, the children took part in an exciting community-wide project—helping to create an anthology called Blackpool Banquet. This fantastic collaboration between Blackpool Catering Service and the Literacy Trust is all about food, storytelling, and celebrating local creativity.

As part of the project, we worked together on a story about Victor the Seagull, a hungry young gull inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. And guess what? Victor and Victoria’s little one, Vi, is the star of the show! 🥰

The children had a fantastic time coming up with creative ideas and adjectives for the story, proving once again that gulls are much-loved characters here in Blackpool! 🦢

To top it off, every child went home with a brand-new book, notebook, and pen, encouraging their love for reading and writing. What an inspiring session!

We can’t wait to see Blackpool Banquet come to life and share more stories from our wonderful community. Stay tuned! 💙
